Paintings by Maggy Fitzpatrick
Maggy studied at Reigate School of Art where she trained in Heraldic Art, Calligraphy and Illumination and gained the Higher Surrey Diploma in Art and Design. Following this, Maggy worked for a range of clients including: the College of Arms in London, the Inns of Court, London Livery Companies.
Maggy’s love of gardening and plants led her to botanical illustration and, in 2003, was awarded a RHS Silver medal for her series of clematis.
In 2007, she completed the Society of Botanical Artists Diploma in Botanical Illustration, for which she received distinction and a special award for excellence. Maggy was elected a member of the society in 2008.
Maggy is a Fellow of the Chelsea Physic Garden Florilegium Society and a Member of the Oxford Botanic Garden Florilegium Society.
Her work has been hung at many exhibitions in the UK and abroad.
Maggy was elected a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of painter Stainers in 1985.
